Who knew that one tiny little 11 lb creature could possibly NEED all this stuff???
And who knew that we would have to pack it all into suitcases, along with all our own belongings and fly it half way around the world?! A confusing and somewhat daunting task for new, inexperienced parents, let us tell you.
But after 16 months of waiting and preparation, including all sorts of delays, disappointments and great expectaions ...... we would have been willing to pack ourselves into suitcases for the flight if it had been asked of us. Thank God that wasn't necessary!

You ain't seen nothin' yet! You will find out that packing for a night away involves the same amount of crap as for a 2-week jaunt. And here's a word of advice: wherever you go, even if you think you'll just pop out for a few groceries and you won't POSSIBLY need to take the diaper bag...TAKE IT. The biggest messes can happen when you're 5 minutes out the door. TRUST ME ON THIS! I have had to go buy new sets of clothing while out "just doing a few groceries." And keep a plastic bag with you at all times to put "soiled" clothing in. Including your own!
I remember packing for our trip to China! Everyting in 3 sizes...dipaers, clothing, etc. And all the medicines and food. Incredible, isn't it!
