Florida Sunshine

Just got back from a great couple of weeks in Florida .... and it looks like we went at a good time, judging by the snow and freeeeezing cold temperatures we see have arrived here at home! Guess we should have stayed longer .... maybe until the month of May. :)

It was fantastic to get away. The weather was warm, the beach was beautiful, it was great to hang out with the retired folks (yes, we are talking about you Gramps and Grandma ... although you certainly had lots of company. Looks like retirement could be a nice way to go. Comes highly recommended, apparently), and Disney was ... well, "Where dreams come true". That's their slogan, isn't it?! Although, I have to admit that I regularly dream of getting a long night's sleep -- followed by a sleep in -- followed by breakfast in bed and then some quiet time to read a book and listen to something other than the Wiggles. I am pretty sure that is one "dream" that Disney doesn't provide, but it was a fun day none the less!

That's the good life! Looking up the sun in these cold days, that's a smart thing to do. Thanks for reminding me of Disney, it's a great place, isn't it? After one month of sleepless nights, I just got rid of that tune in my head: 'Iiiiit's a smaaaal world after aaaall...'

Now...It's back.
Thanks!

Oh, it's so wonderful to see people we know in summer clothes!! No boots, no hats, no whining about putting the coat on..... Ahhhhh.... It looks like heaven.

Hi Patrick & Alinda. As it happens "It's a Small World" was our little one's FAVORITE ride! (Eeeeckkk!!! ... that song can really mess with you, can't it?!)

She spent the whole ride standing up, swaying to the music and doing all the hand motions. When the ride ended she started to cry and yell "more" and "encore" at the top of her lungs. A lady seated in the back, came up and told us that if we took her out of the boat and put her on one of the floats, she would have fitted in perfectly with the other dolls in the show. Hilarious!

I'm so jealous. You got warm weather and a trip to Disney World. We were thinking about going to Disneyland this summer, but the kids rather have a birthday party. I can't believe they are my kids.
