Happy 2007!

Well, the holidays have come and gone, as has the year 2006. And boy was 2006 was a busy one! We rung in the New Year with our CLSC adoption group -- who all met during a pre-adoption course in Jan.-Mar 2005. Over those first few months we all met for dinner at nice restaurants, were well rested, had leisurely meals and were dreaming of our future families. On New Year's Eve this year ... we all had dinner at our place while food flew, babies/toddlers cried and protested in the background and it was a fight for some of us to stay awake ''til midnight ... at least three members were caught napping on the couch at various breaks in the festivities!! Wouldn't have wanted it any other way though. What a great group of friends we have found and a wonderful "extended family" for our little ones.

Christmas was also busier this year. Aveleen would like to thank all those who sent her such nice gifts. Her favorites were those that have buttons to push and make lots of noise .. And the envelopes and glittery ribbons?! Ah well, I am sure she will be a little more clued in by next year. The Christmas lights were really the biggest hit of the holidays in her books!

Well, our family would like to wish you all a very happy 2007, may it be a year filled with good health and happiness. And for those of you still waiting for your little bundles of joy ... may your heart's desires be filled in 2007!

Your daughter looks really happy. At her age, everything is a potential toy to be played with. If we have another kid, I'm to give wrap a bunch of ribbons and bows! I hope you have a great year.

Loved the pictures of you laughing in front of the Christmas tree, Aveleen. Must have been a great book ! Your hair is growing, Sweetheart - even your bangs, wow ! Glad you had such a happy Christmas with your Montreal family, your extended family, and your Auntie Em from Ottawa. Guess we all love you lots. Hugs from Nai Nai and Ye Ye

She is soooooo cute!!! I couldn't help notice your Christmas pics. Is that Drysdale's tree farm? I don't live far from there.
